The Institut zur Förderung publizistischen Nachwuchses e.V. (ifp) is one of the oldest and most renowned training establishments for journalists. Since April 2008, the ifp training centre with seminar rooms, studios, research desk, guestrooms and administration, is in the heart of the media city, Munich. The institute has, already for more than 40 years, been supported by the Catholic church.Since April 2008 the ifp is based in the former Capuchin monastery, St. Anton, in Munich’s Isarvorstadt district and offers the ideal conditions for an excellent cross-media training. |

The Institut zur Förderung publizistischen Nachwuchses e.V. (ifp) (Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists Registered Association) was founded in 1968 by the German Bishops’ Conference. Numerous well-known journalists began their training at the ifp. The institute is committed to the training and advanced training of journalists in Germany as well as in Central and Eastern Europe.
