Trio with many Festivals

Of the many events in the music, media and entertainment electronics industries, it is especially the International Consumer Electronics Trade Fair (IFA), the Popkomm and the Berlinale which stand out.

Since 2006 the Berlin International Radio Exhibition is held as an annual event. As a result of the ositive response the organisers – the Gesellschaft für Unterhaltungs- und Kommunikationselektronik (gfu) (the Company for Entertainment and Communications Electronics) and the Berlin Exhibition Centre – have been confirmed in their decision: »It is particularly remarkable that several exhibitors wanting larger exhibition stands have come to us«, explains Dr. Christian Göke, CEO of the Berlin Exhibition Centre.

Popkomm

Only shortly after the IFA the Popkomm is enticing specialist visitors from all over the world to Berlin. With the three forums, the exhibition, festival and congress, it is aimed at exhibitors from the core music business and specialist areas of music such as Mobile Entertainment and the Live sector.

Berlinale

The biggest cultural event in the city is at thesame time one of the most important events in the international film industry: more than 16,000 specialist visitors from over 80 countries attend the international film festival productions. With over 150,000 admission tickets sold, the Berlinale is not only a meeting point for the whole industry but is also the largest public festival in the world. Art, glamour, partying and business exist side by side for two weeks at the Berlinale.
